Introduction For over 20 years Susan Thurn has been educating others about the outdoors through the Cable Natural History Museum. She has completed a B.S. in Biology and Outdoor Education from Northland College, and a B.S. in Elementary Education with a Teaching License in grades 1-8 and a specialty in science. Her awards include the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Fisheries Educator of the Year in 1995, and Wisconsin Association for Environmental Education Environmental Educator of the Year for 1994. She lives in Cable in the forest where she explores, watches and writes about the nature of the north woods. It is these observations and those of others that inspire her writing.
