| Introduction | The Vietnamese are the Sicilians of Asia: for us, nothing is more important than family. Mom and Pops crossed an ocean and ground themselves into nothing to give us a better life, and we would be damned to forget that. I'm the oldest of 5--4 boys and 1 girl--so even when I live across the country, my family is and will always be a big part of my life. You cannot know me or talk of me and be ignorant of my family. I was raised a Catholic and schooled in Texas before joining the U.S. Army. While on active duty, I deployed twice to Iraq and made it back both times with my body and mind intact. For that, I will be forever grateful.... Depending on how and where you know me from, I can be anything from the most well-mannered and thoughtful Southern gentleman to the loudest, angriest motherfucker to wave an assault rifle in your face. Most of the time, I'm somewhere in between--a jack of all asses if you will. And because I don't know how to live life any other way, I make exactly two things: good memories and bad mistakes. |
