| Introduction | This blog is an account of our first expatriate experience, and is meant to give family and friends an ongoing glimpse of our adventure, and to help share our excitement, frustrations and all the other emotions that are sure to arise over the next two years. For a couple who has never lived outside the NY/NJ tri-state area (not even study abroad during college), and whose immediate and extended family lives there, we are in for some major adjustments. While we are scared about the many changes that lie ahead, we wanted the chance to live overseas and experience life differently than we ever have in the past, or ever could in the suburbs in the US. We hope to eventually return to our familar life in the US, but for now it is time to try something different. |
