Introduction	This is a groundbreaking course offered at The University of Wales, Newport, the first of its kind in Wales. Creative arts can be used successfully to promote positive change in individual health and wellbeing. There is a growing understanding that these processes can succeed with people of any and all ages. The creative arts offer people another medium – a creative or artistic medium - through which to explore and express their own feelings and emotions. The Creative Therapies course has four pathways: Art, Dance & Movement, Drama* and Music.
