| Introduction | I was born in Albany, NY in 1968 and currently reside in Seattle with my wife, daughter and son. Every professional position I have ever had has primarily involved the internet. I am passionate about digital media and my constant thirst to learn puts me at the center of the new media universe. Over the years I have held positions as a writer, designer, HTML editor, art director, executive producer and eventually as entrepreneur running my own companies and supervising dozens of employees. Before the world wide web, there was telnet, gopher and usenet. I was publishing medical research online to the US Congress before HTTP was even born and creating virtual advertising characters for CBS TV when web browsers had an unchangeable gray default background. I produced the first live broadcast from the basecamp of Mt. Everest last century. Before beginning to work for myself over a decade ago I worked for the 3M Corporation, Whole Earth Catalog and one of the first U.S. web design agencies, Free Range Media. |
