| Introduction | I'm Kalba Meadows - I'm English, but no longer really feel it and have my feet (and my soul) firmly planted in France. I've been here since 2007 when I moved with my partner John into a big and rambling stone farmhouse in the foothills of the Pyrenees, in the Ariège - one of France's hidden gems. We lead a simple life here, spending most of our time making the house and grounds ever more lovely, hosting guests, growing vegetables, walking and watching birds. When we have time, we like to spend some of it at Maison Leela, our small Catalan cottage in the foothills of the Albères, where the Pyrenees fall into the Med. Like Maison Grillou, it's a delightful place, 15 minutes from the sea and the same from Ceret and from Spain. |
