| Introduction | I am a Sydney artist, who has spent the last five and a half years at art school as a mature age student. I draw, paint, make digital art which I combine with traditional media, and I make book and paper art. Why quirky? First year at art school, we struggled just to get everything DONE. Come assessment time, we found they also wanted 'quirky and edgy'. That became a mantra to help remind ourselves to BE quirky and edgy in our work. It stuck. |
