| Introduction | I'd like to be a spectacular woman - you know the type - a woman who inspires others with her sunny disposition, wisdom and grace. But...I'm not quite there yet. In fact, I have a good long way to go. 2010 was one of those gloomy years that started with the loss of a dear friend, continued with the loss of a beloved family member, followed by the loss of many more friends and ended, predictably, with less than ideal health. Someone who noticed my gloom bravely gave me "The Happiness Hypothesis" by Jonathan Haidt, for Christmas. I picked it up expecting to discover the key to happiness and discover it I did. I needed to look no further than that delightful truism from the Wizard of Oz - "there's no place like home". Happiness truly is what you make it and I am determined to make it something contagious. So, I have embarked on my 2011 Happiness Quest and will focus on a different theme each month. Follow along, and if you want to join me in any adventure or activity, just give me a call. |
