| Introduction | In 2011, when I was pregnant with a baby girl, our journey went off course from our expectations and our "normal." Our baby was diagnosed with a heart defect, which led to a diagnosis of Down Syndrome. Thankfully, we made the decision then to share our journey on social media - allowing friends and family, and acquaintances, to know our sweet girl. It allowed me to share my thoughts and emotions, but it also provided a level of support that I never anticipated. And the commitments and connections made have sustained us in the hard times, and made our celebrations much richer. Over time, we have come to know and understand that we were given this journey for a reason, and we have come to understand that we have been blessed in an immeasurable way. Adventures of Limitless Lila is created to celebrate the third anniversary of bringing our baby girl home for the first time - after a two-month NICU stay, several surgeries, countless procedures and lots of prayer. |
