| Introduction | Dana Carey writes and illustrates picture books. While polishing her manuscripts and creating dummy books, she is an acquisitions reader of middle grade and young adult novels for the French publishers Seuil and La Martinière as well as an English language teacher. She writes two columns for the Sub It Club: The Monthly Goalpost for anyone in the submission process, and The Postcard Post featuring the work of a different illustrator each month.
