| Introduction | This is not an ordinary blog. This is a bed time story for my nephews who live far and away from me but are never far from my thoughts. But this bed time story, my dear nephews, isn't like other bed time stories. This is a series of stories, letters to you, about your family and their journey through the pages of history is filled with wonder and adventure. These stories will take you through the Golden Age of Greek gods to Adam and Eve after Eden, through the fall of Homer's Troy in the Iliad to the wanderings of Vikings through a newly Christian Europe, to Norman nobles that aided a king in 1066 AD and still sit in the House of Lords today, to traveling to the New World and fighting in the American Revolution, all the way until today when you lie sleeping in your beds by the sea as you read these pages from me. I hope learning about your ancestors will not only give you both a sense of destiny as they fill your imagination with spirited ideas but also a sense of duty that you must believe and fulfill a remarkable adventure in your heart. It is in your blood to achieve such a wish as this. Goodnight, little princes. |
