| Introduction | Hello wonderful people!! My name is Jacqueline Rojas, as already stated in my profile description. I currently attend Richmond High School and am part of its Heath Academy. I am heavily involved in various clubs and local organizations. In my school, I am Secretary of the Red Cross Club, soon to be President, am Treasurer of Key Club, soon to be Secretary, and am an intern for Richmond's Youth Leadership Committee, otherwise known as YLC. I am also an intern for CHAA, which is an organization that advocates marijuana prevention in youth. I am also a proud member of College is Real and the RYSE Center. So far I have shared a lot of what leadership roles I hold in my school and community and the many programs I am a part of but have yet to share with you my biggest accomplishment to date. I have the wonderful opportunity to study at Vanderbilt University this summer through The Ivy League connection. The course I will be taking this summer at Vanderbilt University is Med 101. I am looking forward to share my journey with you all as I progress through this amazing program!!! |
| Interests | My interests include watching the news, reading novels and poems, hiking, camping, sketching, painting, hanging out with my friends, helping out my community, watching educational videos, listening to music, and spending time with my family. I also really love science. Go science!!! |
| Favorite movies | The Theory of Everything, Leon the Professional, Harry Potter- entire series, Gattaca, Ender's Game, Inception, and One Flew Over the Cookoo's Nest. |
| Favorite music | Almost anything. I enjoy listening to instrumental music, classical, folk, "scary" music..(by scary, I mean heavy metal and mild forms of rock). I also listen to pop, rap (with little or no cursing), and some of the other tunes that are "hip" with the teens these days. |
