IntroductionI have been a fan of westerns my whole life. Formative years spent watching endless western TV series or attending Saturday morning pictures would have laid the ground work. Inspiring hours of cowboys and indians games and a still unsatisfied longing to own a horse. (Ideally a palomino one that could count or come when I whistled.) As I grew older and looked for grittier, more action filled fare I discovered the Italian westerns of the 1960's and 70's. The romance and mythology of these stories along with their imagery and musical soundtracks have stayed with me ever since and I am excited, moved and amused by them as much today as I ever was. My blogs take the form of film reviews of Spaghetti Westerns in all their guises; the good, bad and downright ugly. My aim in all of them is to give some insight, share some thoughts and hopefully inspire someone to discover these films for themselves. I am a long time contributor and editor at the Spaghetti Western Database, the site I would recommend to all fans of this genre as the "go to" place for all information.
