| Introduction | I was born in 1961 in London and have pursued to some extent at least a career in English Language Teaching which has brought me eventually to Northern Cyprus where I have now lived for over twenty years. I have been working on our family history on and off for longer than I care to remember, and in a way, engaged in an ongoing quest to define an identity. I somehow find this a more compelling pursuit in the light of current political events in the UK, which in a way are trying to address similar issues at a regional and national level. There are no easy answers, but the questions such as they are have existed for centuries. As I hope will emerge from these musings. |
