| Introduction | Painting is my passion and now my full-time occupation since retiring from teaching in 2012. It has been a life-long love affair with art for me, taking classes when and where I could, completing a BFA in Painting and Drawing, all while having a career as an English teacher and raising a family. Over the years, I have used all kinds of materials, painted for a long time in acrylic, explored water colour and over the last 4 years, have mostly worked in oils. I love the figure, still life and landscape as well as abstract art. I am interested in the beauty of every day objects and light and shadow in nature. |
