| Introduction | Always having a keen interest in natural history, I began roaming around lakes, ponds, woods, rivers and marshlands at a fairly young age. I quickly became a good observer and found interest in almost anything to do with birds, plants, reptiles and even insects. When I got older I travelled with beekeepers, banded ducks with biologists, also banded woodcock with the Dept. of Lands and Forests and moved black bears from parks. I also did walks with the NS Bird Society. I spent many summers canoeing the water systems of Nova Scotia. I started drawing when I was a little tyke, really liked cartoons, over time my art and nature interests just came together, that's how I got started on this path. Hope you will enjoy the blog, I have lots more to add over the next few months! |
