Introduction	I am an Indian (South Asian) mother of two boys living in the Bay Area. My interests include, parenting issues, music (mostly classical), sports, books (mystery, humor, South Asian authors, classics), politics (progressive, leftwing) and movies
Interests	Politics, literature- particularly detective fiction, music - classical Carnatic, parenting issues, environmental issues, cricket and movies to name a few.
Favorite movies	Casablanca, Z, His Highness Abdulla (malayalam), and many more that I can't remember right now!
Favorite music	Classical Carnatic (South Indian), Hindustani, some jazz and blues.
Favorite books	Too many to list. Some of the more recent ones I particularly enjoyed reading are the Erast Fandorin series by Boris Akunin (mystery genre), Dumas' four book series-The Three Musketeers, Twenty Years After, Vicomte de Bragalonne and The Man In The Iron Mask (classics), the Buru quartet by Pramoedya Ananta Toer (Indonesian dissident)
