I have been interested in genealogy, and specifically African American genealogy, for some time and have recently enjoyed learning more about genetic genealogy. My venture into blogging is prompted by learning to listen to the ancestors' call, and that was nurtured (i.e., nudged) by my membership in the Facebook group, African American Genealogy & Slave Ancestry Research, AAGSAR, founded by Luckie Daniels and fueled by a lively and generous group of researchers.
