| Introduction | This blog is written by Steve Hunnisett. I'm an Associate Member of The Guild of Battlefield Guides and am part of Blitzwalkers. Together with Neil Bright, we guide walks around London's wartime history. Today, our busy capital is basically a peaceful place but from 1940-45, death was an almost nightly visitor in the form of Hitler's bombers, missiles and rockets. Although peace has returned, there are many clues of our wartime past still to be discovered. This blog concentrates on the London 'Home Front' but not exclusively and I'll often write about other aspects of the war. Feedback on this blog is welcomed but please remember to leave a name as I do not usually publish 'Anonymous' posts, neither will I entertain rude or abusive comments. |
