The Cowboy Historian
| Introduction | While attending a history graduate program at a university in the U.S. Southwest, I was informed by the department chair that there would be no more "cowboy historians." Promotion and tenure would be based on writing narratives according to the dictates of the grant funding agencies. This blog represents a rejection of that type of intellectual control, and the rebirth of the cowboy historian in the digital age. Yippee ki-yay! |
