| Introduction | My name is actually Darren, but I decided to go by Lucius for the blog. The name Lucius is the name given to me by a friend in the band Dumpstar. I was helping with a show, and they couldn't remember my name or the names of my friends. So they just made up names for us. They called me Lucius, because I had a ridiculously large afro at the time. And I thought it was a good name.
You can read more about my life story in my testimony on the blog, but I figure I'm a pretty "regular" sort of guy. I'm on this blog because I like writing, but I also enjoy playing music, playing sports, and woodworking. I call myself a Christian, but I only consider myself to be in the process of learning what it means to be a Christian. I started asking what it means to be a Christian in early 2002, and I've sought to live out my faith in my daily life. In a way it's like a science experiment, and my writing expresses the lessons and experiences I've had along the way. I realize my perspective may offend devout conservative protestant Christian ideals, but I'm okay with that. |
