Introduction	Why am I "cicada lady"? When my oldest daughter was two years old, the cicadas invaded our then hometown of DC. My mom and I wrote a book, Cecily Cicada, to help teach Evie about the cicadas. I recently wrote a middle grade fiction book, Francie's Fortune.
