| Introduction | I was born in Sydney and spent my childhood there, until we moved to Fremantle when I was a teenager.I love Fremantle and have called it home for 26 years. I am married with five children, the latest additions being my twin baby girl and boy.I birthed the last four children at home in water.One of my daughters was born in a Tipi in the back garden.I am an active member of the Fremantle Homebirth community. I have a bachelor of Social Work degree and a masters degree in Art Therapy. I am an Artist who enjoys painting, mosaics,sculpture and textile design.I have exhibited at local arts events. I have experienced the loss of my younger brother, mother,father, baby daughter and three miscarriages. I therefore have an interest in grief and the process of death, which is why I have created this site.I see that there is a need for people to be supported to make choices in how they tend to their deceased loved ones, to enable them to create the funeral that they want and to bring death back into the home and community. |
