| Introduction | "Gee, Mom, that's cool! You were born in 1492!!" so said Sam! Raised in a small northern California logging community, my sis & I had wonderful woodsy adventures in front of the house and the field in back. At 18, I set out for Utah and BYU to find Church bigger than our tiny home branch. In early 1961, I met a fellow named Wayne there. One of the very best semesters I had was when my sister Sue and I roomed together for a year. I graduated in 1965 and set out for CA, teaching high school Home Ec/Special Ed. After Wayne returned from an LDS mission and I had taught 2 years, we married and decided to make our home in Utah. Six kids and 40+ years later, we are still in rural UT, living in a small town, a wonderful place for a home. We have had numerous gardens, home projects, Scouting assignments, 4-H, and many random endeavors aimed at some sort of creativity. Now I am Grannie Annie, hosting Grannie Camp every summer!! Life is great! One thing making it even better: my little sis JB moved to Springville 3 years ago. Having her close by adds so much to my life. I needed a sis and a friend around all these years. Now she is here! |
