Introduction	Born in Bangalore, India , Nikhil started his " art journey" by scribbling all over the red oxide floor at his grandparents house with images from mythological stories that his thatha used to tell him. Since then he has been dabbling in a variety of media as he tries to find his "space". It wasnt until moving to sacramento, CA in the early 2000s did he pursue formal training in art through a series of ad-hoc workshops in the area and explored pastels which remains his favourote medium to date. He dabbled briefly in storyboarding for live action shorts selected for the Sacramento short film festival before taking a long hiatus from art. He restarted cartooning on social media during the pandemic in an effort to spread smiles and reach out to humanity as if to say " you are not alone. Don't be afraid". Inspired by the power of storytelling through images, he is currently working on his first children's picture book from CA. Diego, Ca, and welcomes opportunities to collaborate or draw over a cuppa chai.
