Introduction According to Newton's 1st law of motion, a thing's velocity will remain constant unless acted upon by an outside force. For me, this was lived out rather placidly for a long time. At 37, my velocity was "at rest." Content to stay put and eat, I did exactly that. Then one day my doctor asked me if I wanted to have a stroke before 55 because I was on my way. ...Let's call that the outside force. While I still love bacon, ice cream, cheese, and all other goodies, I admit I like the idea of living a stroke free life that much more. Thus, I've reacquainted myself with healthy living. I've visited doctors, nutritionists, trainers, etc. I've also started running and exercising as rigorously as I am able. Of course, I still miss the food. So here is the battle between my will and my won't. Thanks for reading on occasion. Sign up to follow. I promise I'll write something you can read in five minutes or less and I'll do my best to keep it lighthearted and fun. Sure, the writing is a bit rough, but then Dave Barry took some time too, didn't he? Comments are welcomed! (...Welcoming comments are particularly welcomed!)
