Introduction	I maintain two blogs, An Inelegant Tapestry of Musings and Rants and Lock City Cooking. I created the first because it's a convenient method to write my feelings on current events and other topics important to me without clogging up a Facebook wall or forcing my views on anyone via social media. It's there, read it if you like. I created Lock City Cooking at the insistence of colleagues and friends, who felt I ought to share my versions of low-calorie foods and thoughts on cooking. I'm not trained, and while my palate has been called "above average" by a great chef, I'm just a cook who enjoys tasting good food. I'm thankful for trying new ethnic flavors and new tastes as opportunities present themselves, though you'll easily find I prefer pastas and Southern American flavors.
Interests	Movies, writing, reading, fast trucks, news.
Favorite movies	The Sandlot, Gladiator, original Star Wars, Indiana Jones...except for the crap-fest that was Crystal Skull.
Favorite music	Dream Theater, Lacuna Coil, Kamelot, Chicago, Earth Wind and Fire, Tom Petty, Broadway, Liquid Tension Experiment, Medieval Baebes, most anything other than new rap.
Favorite books	Anything by R.A. Salvatore.
