| Introduction | I'm a graduate of Central Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education, and earned a Masters of Science in technology integration through Walden University. In 1994 I was a fellow of the Central Washington Writing Project and later participated in a three-year grant to explore the teaching of writing in rural schools -- Rural Voices, Country Schools -- funded by The National Writing Project and the Annenberg Foundation. I currently teach middle school language arts, reading, social studies, science, and technology in the Crescent School District located in the rural community of Joyce, Washington. I have also serving as the district technology director. I'm entering my 25th year in the classroom and worked as a substitute and an EA prior to full-time teaching. I was an early member (1998) of TLP (Teacher Leadership Project - integrating technology), which at the time was funded by the Gates Library Foundation, and Cadre I of the EETT Technology Peer Coaching Program. I'm a member of NCCE (Northwest Council for Computer Education) and ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education. I'm also a firm believer in MacIntosh. (-: |
