Introduction Shamus Beyale grew up in the Diné (Navajo) Nation in New Mexico, where he fell in love with reading, movies, video games, comic books and creating art. He received a Gates Millennium Scholarship to study cartooning at The School of Visual Arts in NYC and received a BFA. Shamus co-created The Brooklynite with author and photography extraordinaire Seth Kushner, a 26 chapter superhero series currently online at webtoons.com. Shamus co-illustrated the Eisner Award nominee Ghetto Klown, a graphic novel written by John Leguizamo about his life story, has worked on art direction for animated cut scenes in the DC Universe Online video game, published comics from Zenescope Entertainment, and has done storyboards for countless commercials and several Investigation Discovery Channel shows. He currently lives in New Jersey with his wife and plans to continue making strides in the comic book and visual arts industry.
