| Introduction | Don't trust anyone who doesn't eat dessert. These are some of the words that guide me through life. I love dessert and food in general and all the rituals connected to sharing it with people that I care about. In my earlier years, before kids, I used to entertain a lot but as time became more pressed with responsibilities of work, family and relationships I had to find another way to do it. This blog will hopefully show you how one regular person struggles to do it all...sometimes fails...but keeps doing it anyway. The Hubby is an unwavering supporter of this blog and also moonlights as the Kitchen Bitch whenever needed. The Daughter is our eldest child and I'm still figuring out how to parent her now that she's a young adult. She spends the school year at university out of town. The Adolescent is our middle child. His exploits are the inspiration for many of my stories. The Beamer is our youngest and his consistently sunny and loving personality inspired his pseudonym. His significant developmental disability has had a profound impact on our family. You will also get to know various other important people in our lives as they are introduced throughout the blog.
