| Introduction | I love living in the country, it is so peaceful and relaxing. I enjoy my garden, my greenhouse, love to quilt and sew. I have 4 granddaughters that I just adore. I love folk Art quilting and very country style in my quilting. I learned to quilt many years ago from my sister Emily that lives in Arkansas. Very quickly I got hooked on it. Emily and I have worked on many projects together. My favorite is applique and designing my own projects. You will see my projects in here. I think country living really goes with anything you do quilting. Makes me feel like the old days and I guess that is why I like the reproduction fabrics (Gracie 1920-1930's designs). After retirement, I plan to sew for my beautiful granddaughters that I have not been able to much with a full time job. I love new quilting ideas and techniques that are shared by other quilters. I go to quilt stores in Amarillo and while traveling every chance I get. I have gotten one of my daughter-in-laws into sewing and hope to get her hooked into quilting. |
