| Introduction | Elenya is a Saltram/Saga 40 yacht designed by Alan Pape and built in 1984. We bought her in 2002 and in 2008/9 we cruised Fiordland, Stewart Island and the NZ Subantartic Islands. After a stop in Auckland to work and more weekend cruising in the Hauraki Gulf, we sailed to Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands, Micronesia and Guam. In Guam we had a change of plans and sailed back to NZ via New Caledonia, rather than continuing to the Aleutians and Alaska as planned. Alaska, British Columbia, Chile, South Georgia via the Antarctic Peninsula and other places are still out there waiting for us! |
