| Introduction | Hello, My name is Mario Bonfante and I've been involved in racing for most of my life, from BMX, to Motocross to finally attaining my pro license in Road Racing when I turned 16. In september of 2006 unfortunately I crashed on a bicycle doing some dirt jumps and broke my neck. So I am now physically a c5-c6 quadriplegic, But mentally I am still the same guy I was before I got hurt I just have to get things done a little differently now. I have always been very driven and self motivated sense I was a kid so after I got hurt I basically took it as a graduation from two wheels to four and kept the dream the same. I had aspirations of going on to becoming one of the top competitors in that face paced sport and committed myself to eating, sleeping and training racing for success ever sense i was a young child. Getting hurt at 17 not only brought my motorcycle racing career to a sudden stop, but also left me now unable to full-fill my life long dream that I had worked so hard at, which was to race and do what I loved for a living.. |
