Introduction | I wouldn't go so far as to say I swim against the tide, that's just hard work however 'the sheep that walks alone' would be appropriate. I am an original thinker, I can't see the point or percentage in pretending to enjoy something just because it's popular. I don't read a daily newspaper (apart from The Racing Post of course, they managed to avoid a single mention of the deaths of either Princess Diana or Michael Jackson) I will not be led by the nose by the media. I openly admit that, whilst I am far from a rich man you would have to pay me at least a grand to go to a football match and probably twice that to go to a pop concert. I believe that music is for listening to not looking at (I would make an exception for great showmen like Elton John or Barry Manilow. I once saw Sammy Davis Jnr live - fantastic). I love remote countryside, I can't cope with crowds or invasion of my personal space. I love animals and people provided they are amusing and civilised and display some empathy and care for their fellow beings. In essence I am not a political animal, although you can probably guess from the above I lean slightly to the right of centre. |
