IntroductionI am of a rare breed - known as an INDEPENDENT THINKER. A leaning Conservative who does some pretty liberal things. An anti-conspiracy theorist; an antithesis of ignorance, elitists, and bullshit. WELCOME TO MY BLOG.
InterestsListening to chillout music and watching movies. I also am an active blogger. activism and charitable donations have a warm place in my life.
Favorite moviesTV: Golden Girls, All In The Family, Perfect Strangers, Bill O'Reilly's No Spin Zone, Nancy Grace on CNN, Cold Case Files, American Justice, Frasier, Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm. Movies: Shawshank redemption (Stephen King should stick to dramas!) Lost & Delirious - A true Canadian masterpiece interlacing forbidden love poetic conquests and entrance into womanhood. I also like labryinth (with Bowie), what ever happened to babyjane? Throw Momma From The Train
Favorite musicMassive Attack, Zero 7, VARGO, powerhouse female vocalists like Norah Jones, Sia, Adele, Cat Power, Sade; and also Thievery Corporation, Gabriel & Dresden chillout remixes (like As The Rush Comes with Motorcycle - great tune). Basically anything chillout and from the U.K. I also like African-Western jazz hybrids, symphony/classical and Opera.
Favorite booksRose Madder by Stephen King. The portrayal of Rose as the protagonist in Rose Madder is quite possibly the most powerful female role in any of King's dramatic genre works. Superbly written and a great read for women everywhere who have suffered at the hands/end of any form of abuse. I also like The Divine Comedy (complete) by Dante Alighieri, and a book I own but have not yet read: The Mating Mind. I also like Postsecret and Found, Zen and Buddha/Meditative Books

When you hesitate before hitting snooze on your alarm clock, are you being lazy?

I place sleep, good food, and intellectual conversation at the top of my list of the finer pleasures in life. Once I am in that blissful state of deep sleep..ahh, there is no greater instant physical release, save for the orgasm. Pressing snooze just allows me to prolong the bliss. Sleep.. what an utterly beautiful concept.
