About me

Introduction I'm a transplant gone feral on 20 acres of scrub woods and old fields. The timber grew again after Union Pacific logged it in the 1800s — walnut, redbud, elm, hackberry, cedar, hickory, oak, hedge, locust, cottonwood, mulberry, buckeye, ironwood and undergrowth. The woods are resilient. So are the deep powers: the spirits of the land, the old gods walking the timber. I want to learn that resilience.
