Introduction	I’m a small town girl from the valleys. I was born in the Shenandoah Valley way before Wal-Mart came to town and swore I’d never end up in another small town as long as I had wheels to get away. Well, here I am, in another small town, in another valley and loving every minute of it. I spend a lot of time outside, negotiating with the deer about which plants they can and cannot eat, scaring raccoons out of the trashcans and trying not to run over the groundhogs that like to hang out in my driveway. I write about what I know, who I love, and where I'm from, with some stories in between.
