IntroductionMy path has always been one of great change and challenge. I retired in July of 2017. I have 3 grown children , 1 grandchild, and a very loving circle of friends. I deeply love a variety of vegan and healthy food, collect recipes and cookbooks, constantly. I love it when my kitchen is filled with savory and sweet aromas, The Goddess, and our beautiful planet have given me many gifts in this life.
InterestsHaving fun w/food is the big thing, and I'm always looking for new recipes. Also-knitting, reading, writing, gathering w/ friends, river walks, volunteering, sewing gifts and clothing, crochet, quilting. I, plain & simply, enjoy life & my interests/ talents, the Universe has been kind. One need not have a mountain of "stuff" to be happy..., however, yarn helps..., I am my stash. (who isn't?)
Favorite moviesThere are so many to list, so right now I'm just going to list my all-time favorite movie "Auntie Mame" with Rosalind Russell who was an incredibly talented and thoroughly entertaining actress, a great person, too.
Favorite musicLate 60s all the 70s rock - any other kind? Folk, World, 1940s torch songs, Blue Grass, Blues, - Jason Mraz, CSN or CSN&Y, Lucinda Williams, Eagles, Ben Harper, Annie Lennox, David Byrne, Sarah McLachlan, Gillian Welch, Neil Young, & the best for last - The Beatles, always the Beatles.
Favorite booksNext to read - I have a stack that includes: Amy Brill, Eckhart Tolle, Bill Bryson, Lama Surya Das, Marilynne Robinson, and others. The novel Second Hand by Michael Zadoorian is one of the coolest novels, ever, and I read it about every 3 - 4 years. I also enjoy Astronomy/Cosmos, and read about Buddhism and Taoism because they urge peace and common sense. Included in the so many books I've already read are - The Light Between Oceans by M L Stedman, The Middlesteins by Jami Attenberg, Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, The Red Tent, HP 1-7, Water for Elephants, many Classics, books by: Bill Bryson, Ray Bradbury, Anne Tyler, Betty Smith, Wally Lamb, Charles Dickens, Louisa May Alcott, Mark Twain, & a variety of different Cookbooks
