| Introduction | In 2004 and 2006, our biological children joined our lives. They both have taught us so many things. Being the oldest, our son taught us what it is like to love a child. A few years later, our daughter brought us an even deeper love and taught us to open our eyes to disability. You see, she has a little something extra along the line of chromosomes ... a thing called Down syndrome. She is an absolutely amazing child. Her presence in our lives affected us so much, that we decided to adopt another little girl with Down syndrome from Russia. We completed our adoption of Addison in November 2008 and we are loving life! |
