| Introduction | My Profile Ernest Ekpenyong is a Lagos-based journalist whose commitment to the popularity of the noble game of polo, has transform the equestrian sports into a media friendly sport in Nigeria. Ekpenyong maintains regularly polo columns in major Nigerian Newspapers like THISDAY where he wrote every Sunday for four years before moving to the Sun Newspaper where he introduced the longest running polo column, the SunPolo which is still running every week in the Sunday Sun edition. He also writes soccer, golf, travels and trend articles for other newspapers and online publications. He works as the media consultant for major polo tournaments around Nigeria, which has triggered a growing corporate passion for the game of kings. Ekpenyong often travels abroad to cover international polo tournaments in South Africa, Dubai and lately, the FIP Polo World Playoffs in Malaysia. He also takes an occasional riding lesson. A Political Science graduate and a product of the famous Times Journalism Institute, Ekpenyong is happily married with kids. |
