Introduction I'm a writer and teacher from You've-Never-Heard-Of-It, Kentucky. I read because I love it and write because, dammit, I can't help it. I have a great fascination with people and their lives. I am the one people come to when they need to talk. I wish I could say I was selflessly eager to help others find peace with their lives and needs. But that's only part of it. Each time I listen and discuss, offer advice and watch it all play out it's a type of practice. Working out real life problems from a variety of real lives helps me create and resolve realistic (I hope) central conflicts in my writing. About that picture up there. It was taken by a good friend who swore it would be wrong to use any other picture because this is what I look like to people when I'm writing (which I was) and that means I look like this about 90% of my free time (which I do.) So if you were with me, no matter how interesting I found you, chances are this picture is a fair representation of what you're going to see if the writing's going well. Interests Writing, reading, noir films, painting, gardening, travel, home decor, crocheting, event planning, the work of Harry Wong, cooking from my own recipes, listening to people, sounds, words, nature, problems, celebrations, and life.
Favorite Music Buffett, Jazz, Blues, 80's, Classical, good Bluegrass
Favorite Books Mine. Honestly, I'd be wasting my time writing if I couldn't fall completely in love with them. How could I expect anyone else to if I didn't? As far as books other people have written, we do not have the kind of time it would take for me to list a tenth of them.

What's the best time you've ever had licking stamps?

The time I licked my stamp and my best friend tried to hot glue hers. She was afraid it would fall off and her car payment would be late. My letter went out, her hand (and stamp) ended up glued to a bed post. And her car payment was late. True story.
