Introduction	I began my career in industry, working in Human Resources in Ford Motor Company for 9 years. The experience left me convinced that many companies are barely scratching the surface of their peoples' capabilities. I left Ford in 1988 to start my own business with a former colleague, Richard King. Together we launched Business Transitions. This led us to an encounter and then a joint business venture with the American author, Tom Peters, who invited us to join his company in 1991. Our work in TPC is to support leaders and other consultants who want to apply Tom's Excellence messages in their work situations. I am particularly proud of the contribution I have been able to make to the development of training products such as the WOW! Projects Workshop, the Brand You Workshop and the PSF Workshop. I am also very pleased with the work we have done recently to synthesize Tom's Excellence thinking into a 'conversion kit' which we call the Future Shape of the Winner model.
