Introduction | Noreen...'I love to write and enjoy nothing better (well, not much) than bashing away at the laptop creating articles for newspapers and magazines, and short stories. I'm married to a farmer and live on a moorland dairy farm, hence my interest in rural lfe. When not writing, bargain-hunting, knitting and baking provide a diversion.' Margaret...'I live with my husband, a joiner, in a Victorian cottage that we've been working on since the year dot, (or so it seems). Having a shoestring budget is a bit of a challenge, one I like to overcome by finding old furniture or fabrics. My trusty sewing machine is always at the ready while craft ideas seem to occupy my brain most of the time.' We have enjoyed collaborating to write a book 'A Homespun Year'. All about seasonal events, recipes, flowers, and sewing projects, our book aims to inspire others to have a go. We don't claim to be experts by any means, just interested and keen to make the most of seasonal produce and bargains...for us, it's all about the pleasure of making and creating. Our book is available from Amazon as an e-book, with a link to it from our blog. |
