Introduction	I am a Westside Los Angeles based former high school teacher with over 15 years experience as a full-time tutor. I prepare students for the SAT and ACT, high school entrance exams, AP exams and mentor students in academic subjects in the humanities. A Southern California native, I received my bachelor degrees in literature and U.S. history at UC Santa Cruz and completed my teaching credential at San Jose State University. My areas of expertise include the above mentioned test preparation and general academic tutoring, as well as, teaching: writing, grammar, reading comprehension, vocabulary building, study skills, and effective notetaking and listening techniques.
