Introduction I taught in Butte County, California, for 35 years before moving to North Dakota to settle near my relatives in Carrington. Sometimes I miss the warm California climate and year-round farmers' markets... especially the many friends that I made during my teaching career (students, parents and colleagues). However, I've come to love the expansive, scenic beauty of North Dakota, and really enjoy the good friends that I've made in the last ten years. Background: I graduated from CSU, Chico in 1968, got my first teaching job in Oroville, California, teaching English, eventually taught every grade level k-8, served as a special ed teacher, resource specialist, language development specialist, and mentor to new teachers before retiring in 2004. I especially loved the years that I taught at Ophir School with 20-30 computers right outside my door. I firmly believe that all teachers should be well versed in computer technology and be able to use computers to enhance every area of student learning. One of my dreams is to teach computer technology in Carrington, perhaps as an after-school program, or to older adults who are getting interested in computers for the first time in their lives.
