| Introduction | Hi. I'm a box full of words, and as I look about me, I see to my left that I can have up to 1200 characters. That's a lot of people. I'm not quite sure if that's what it's talking about, but let me tell you about the guy writing these words. Who needs 1200 characters when you've got him, b/c I'll tell ya, he's quite a character. (You should ask him about all the crazy experiments he tried when he was a kid, especially the ones that involved a microwave. Moving on.) I heard he once jumped 40-feet off of a cliff into a river that he later found out is frequented by water moccasins (fortunately, he did not find this out the hard way). Oh, and did you hear about the time he almost gave his mom a heart attack when he swam nearly 100 yards out into the ocean at age 9? It's guys like these that give people in the insurance business a job (although strangely enough, I also heard that he's never broken a bone...yes, in spite of all his crazy antics). I could go on and on, but I'm feeling kinda full (these words taste so good!). If you want to know more about him, read up on his blogs. |

| Interests | Sudoku, brainteasers, puzzles in general, figuring things out, figuring people out, figuring out that no matter how much I figure things out, I haven't really figured out much, quantum physics, linguistics, complex mathematics, neurology, writing (songs, poetry, creative, opinion, journalistic, and maybe some etc.'s that I'm forgetting at the moment), discussion, deep discussion, humorous discussion, debate and discussion, contemplative silence, contemplative-silence-that's-not-really-silence-b/c-there's-music-but-it-still-counts-in-my-opinion-b/c-there's-no-discussion...if that makes sense:)...the beach, the woods, the smell of chimney smoke, the overall melting of autumn into winter, and a bunch of other stuff I could probably write a series of books about...and probably should? Well, you tell me:) |
| Favorite movies | Dark Knight, Knowing, Signs, Terminator trilogy, Patch Adams, Spiderman 1&2, Shawshank Redemption, Pretty much anything Adam Sandler, Will Ferrell, Chris Farley, Robin Williams, and a ton of others (I like action, but I like to laugh, and I love serious drama, as well, picking through all those moments of emotion within which are embedded those shining nuggets of truth) |
| Favorite music | hardcore/screamo, techno-trance, klezmer, Indian (as in "from India" Indian, but Native American music and cultures are pretty cool, too), Middle Eastern (esp. Idan Raichel), NOT country, NOT the more talentless forms rap, NOT cheap, mass-produced (im)material (like Britney Spears, any boy band, and other "artists" of the like). In short, I'm eclectic, but picky. |
