| Introduction | My name is Shannon Roy and I am thrilled to be your ATA Visual Arts Representative for 2014-2016. My wish for my term is to advocate for arts education in Alberta and to connect art educators and those who are passionate about art education with events, information, and with each other. I am extremely passionate about art education, as I feel that the arts have to ability to inspire, transform, and give voice to individuals and the community alike. It is my belief that every student should have the right to authentic art experiences on a regular basis, and my goal is to speak out and help create this in our province. I am delighted to hear from you regarding your communities art events so that they can be shared on the blog.
