| Introduction | On Good Friday (April 2, 2010), I made a covenant with God that for the next year I would spend time with him daily: in his word, journaling, and in prayer. The idea of a blog sharing my journey kept coming up but wasn’t sure if it was me or the Holy Spirit. I kept hearing the title in my head - A year of living dangerously with God. I thought about it more and believe God showed me that often I am shy in sharing the depth of my beliefs: how he overwhelms me, how he works in me, and how much I am learning to love him. It’s not a year of living in physical danger but rather that cusp of comfortability that he is pushing me over by sharing private thoughts with everyone. My method is called SOAP: scripture, observation, application, and prayer. It was taught to me by Pastor Rick Trimble during his time with us at East Bay Fellowship. I use a New Living Translation, One Year Bible, published by Tyndale House. If a different translation is used it will be noted next to the scripture. I sincerely pray that I have heard and answered His call and not my pride. I sincerely pray that if you are reading these entries that you hear Him speaking to you too.
