IntroductionThis is our journey. I am 36. My husband is 37. We've been married for 11 years. During our first 7 years of marital bliss and in between 3 military deployments, we tried to conceive naturally. After 7 years of trying, we tried several IUIs and IVF. In 2007, deployment #4 was ahead of us, our IVF was successful with the birth of a miracle (and a loss of a twin). In the middle of 2011, we decided to expand to our family. We sadly had a unsuccessful IVF-FET with the loss of 2 embryos that started to grow and just couldn't survive. At the end of 2011, with deployment #6 ahead of us, 3 fresh embryos are cooking in the oven with the help of acupuncture. We also have 3 frozen embryos which could be a continuation to this blog. "Infertility" Acronyms: #w#d: # of weeks # of days age of baby in the womb #dp5dt: # of days past embryo transfer of 5 day old embryos; POAS: pee on a stick (home pregnancy test); BFP: big fat positive; IVF: in vitro fertilization; IUI: intrauterine insemination; FET: frozen embryo transfer
