| Introduction | I have two daughters, ages 15 and 13, and a husband of 20+ years; they keep me busy! In 2001, I was diagnosed with End Stage renal Disease and began hemodialysis. In 2005, I received a transplant, but in 2008 I went back on dialysis when my new kidney failed. I continue to receive hemodialysis in Augusta, Maine. During my brief independence with a working kidney, I finished my degree at the University of Maine. I have been writing off and on since then. I am currently looking for an agent to assist me in getting my series of children’s books published. I am also working on a number of other project ranging from poetry to novel. I expect to have a short story published in the near future. |
